▎精油簡介
刺柏( Juniperus oxycedrus ) ,又稱刺檜,柏科中Archaeplastida的一個物種,為西部的多刺品種,oxycedrus意為「尖銳的雪松(cedar)」,原產於摩洛哥和葡萄牙的地中海地區,oxycedrus意為「尖銳的雪松(cedar)」,原產於摩洛哥和葡萄牙的地中海地區,至法國南部,東至伊朗最西端,南至黎巴嫩、以色列,以及非洲西北部,生長在海拔1600米的各種岩石地帶,高約10~15米的常綠灌木,以其針狀的葉子和剝落的樹皮而著稱,生有綠色到緋紅色、橙色的漿果狀果實,以前當地人會運用其漿果,也會燃燒木材驅除紋蟲。
刺柏性喜冷涼氣候,耐寒性強,對土壤要求不嚴,酸性土以至海邊乾燥的岩縫間和沙礫地均可生長,多為野生樹種,較難以人工栽種,常有數千年的樹齡,,主要成分「杜松烯」相當罕見,市面上金盞花也能找到相同的成分,但金盞花的精油無法透過蒸餾萃取,因此刺柏精油成了另類的選擇。
在古代蘇美和巴比倫時期,刺柏常被用作祭神,以抵禦邪惡和負面力量。它也是古印第安人廣泛使用的藥用植物之一。其木材相當堅固耐用,是家具製作的理想選擇。此外,從它的從葉子和樹枝中收集的精油也常被當作製作肥皂和香水的原料。

主要成分為杜松烯(cadinene)、3-蒈烯(δ-Cadinene)、β-水芹烯、月桂烯、β-丁香油烴(石竹烯) 、檸檬烯、松香二烯(abietadiene)、大根老鸛草烯(Germacrene-D)以及一些微量成分,龍腦烯醛、松油醇(Terpinolene)、小茴香烯等。
