▎에센셜 오일 소개

인도, 유럽, 중동 지역에서는 '낙원곡물', '향신료의 왕'으로 불리며 고대 그리스와 고대 로마인들도 카르다몬을 고가의 향신료중 하나로 여겼고 고대 이집트인들은 향을 내는데 사용했으며 ,수천년 동안 아랍문화와 동양의학에서 상당한 위치를 차지하고 있으며 ,고대 이집트의 유명한 약전에도 자취를 찾아볼수 있습니다. 그리고 기원전 7세기경 바빌론 국왕에 의해 재배되였습니다.


엘레타리아 카르타문(Elettaria cardamomum)은 높이가 2~3m에 달하는 다년생 초본식물로 대부분이 야생이며 ,인도와 스리랑카에서 인공적으로 재배되며 잎은 가늘고 녹색이며, 칼날처럼 부드럽고 작은 꽃은 노란색이고 꼭대기는 보라색이며 ,열매는 연한 황록색이며 내부에 적갈색 타원형 씨앗이 있으며, 육질 뿌리는 생강과 비슷합니다.

카르다몬은 기타 방향식물과 같이 예하면 네롤리처럼 연인와의 감정을 증진하는 효과가 있는것으로 생각되지만 ,효과는 다른 식물만큼 강력하지 않으며 종종 다른 향신료를 같이 사용해야 합니다. 카르다몬은 중세기에 "비너스의 불"이라고 불리며 당시 사랑의 묘약이였습니다. 티베트에서는 불안을 달래는 약재로 쓰이기도 합니다.

카르다몬 에센셜 오일은 신선한 과일로 증류방법을 통해 추출하거나 초임계 이산화탄소 추출 방법으로 추출할수 있습니다. 카르다몬 에센셜 오일의 거대한 생산국은 인도이며 카르다몬 에센셜 오일의 추출 및 생산은 16세기로 거슬러 올라가 플라워톤의 향수 첨가제로 사용된것입니다. 카르다몬 에센셜 오일은 무색 내지 담황색이며 증류법으로 추출한 에센셜 오일의 화학성분은 주로 1.8-유칼리프톨, 테르피닐아세테이트입니다.
