▎Essential Oil Introduction
Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora) is an evergreen tree belonging to the Lauraceae family and the Cinnamomum genus. It is primarily found in Asia, including countries such as China, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
The leaves of the camphor tree are bright green and oval-shaped, often exuding a strong aroma. The bark of young camphor trees is smooth and grayish-white, while mature trees develop rougher bark. The tree produces small, yellow-green flowers that are typically inconspicuous. Mature camphor trees bear berry-like fruits containing hard seeds.
Camphorwood is rich in volatile oils and emits a distinct, intense fragrance, making it a high-quality source for perfume extraction.
